If it were legal I'd grow my own. Fuck RJ Reynolds.
Yes, salvia is a deep experience. Best to have a buddy present for your first one, and take turns with it... the altered state only lasts a few minutes, but it's pretty intense. |

Sooner or later this Invisible Hand has got to figure out how it wants to jerk off.
Does It just want our money? It's already got it.
Does It want us to work for it? We already do.
By this line of logic, world domination can only mean mind control, and as sheeple as we already are, to increase that almost HAS to involve some sort of religion.
The optimist in me still believes that the Powers That Be make their position less sustainable as they tighten their grip on us. Eventually, they won't be able to keep up the game, no matter how many PhD's and such they hire to figure out new ways to keep the genie in the bottle.
And not just this particular set of faces. Perhaps over time, as social forces become more complex, so impossible to be navigated by humans, the attempt to keep people under control will become more and more difficult.
To quote Princess Leia: (LULZ. I'm such a basement-dwelling geek.)
"The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers."
588/589: I did salvia. I felt divided inside my self. Like half of my body went to sleep, and the other half was like Hey Ho Let's Go. But every thing made complete sense, despite the division inside of me.
Okay. We can go back to the topic of marijuana now. lol. I apologize for freaking out about Teh System and the games that play us.
I never thought about it as well as now. And I see that comments 582 & 586 are right. Legalization of marijuana poses some problems, the main one being that this will lead to severe capital concentration because of fixed costs.
Eventually, one person would own everything. Game over.
Grow your own veggie gardens, kids. |

| magicdot | Mar 19, 2:08am | ..one of the government's main unmentioned reason for not legalizing pot is that anyone can grow it. ..at least w/ tobacco it doesn't grow everywhere and the processes needed in tobacco and alcohol production don't lend themselves to the every day man. ..I'm not saying its difficult to do either, but when I can roll a joint outside, throw a few odd seeds into the grass and come by a few weeks later and see a pot plant growing.. ..well. ::shrug:: ..so the government fears the lack of control.
..and big business directly fears the hemp plant. ..hemp was originally made illegal here because it was cheaper, easier, and a better substitute for DuPont's synthetics. ..there is a date and everything, but. ..its late. I just thought I'd throw my two cents in while I was thinking about it and return later.
..but. ..about the illegal farmers who grow pot? ..the good stuff is where the money is at, and they're well funded. I don't for see a great loss. ..real connoisseurs of teh dope will want the good stuff and will keep funding those farmers to find those different strains and hybrids that make good pot different then the junk weed. |

591: I think that everyone in this Forum cares not for the War on Drugs, but I thought I would throw it out there that the Hemp thing is essentially a myth, DuPont at the time threw tons of money at hemp at getting it to work in industrial contexts, I believe more than it did for what was basically cutting edge at the time - Nylon. As it turns out, Nylon, as opposed to hemp, has this SWEET feature of being readily able to make, Not having horrible upkeep problems, and just working. However, It should be worth pointing out that Hemp makes pretty good rope. |

| Sponsor | ntltrmllgnc | Mar 19, 8:32pm | DuPont was threatened by Hemp as they were principally involved in the association of Hemp with Marijuana as well as massive propaganda about Marijuana.
Hemp may not be guitar string material but it is versatile. |

| Sponsor | Klassy | Mar 20, 7:39pm | There is a not-so-fresh feeling in overhearing (overhearing, okay, NOT eavesdropping!) a conversation between a shady mustached serial killer attempting to pick up a seriously-retarded whore in the breakfast aisle of a dimly-lit YMCA hostel commissary.
"You like eggs...dontchoo...I make you some good eggs."
"Teehee heehee teehee."
"Wanna come back to my place? I have running water."
Eugh.
You never think you'd find yourself stuck in a forgotten Jennifer Jason Leigh movie, especially not while standing at the breakfast line. |
